Thank goodness Auburn
took the foot off the gas pedal after the first quarter. The pregame festivities along with the dedication of Pat Dye
Field were so amazing I think I risked losing consciousness before kickoff. The
game would then began and I witnessed some of the following; sacks, reverses,
sacks, touchdowns passes, sacks, touchdown runs, sacks, trick plays and sacks.
My brain was having a very hard time comprehending the domination I was
witnessing. Had the same stuff happened in the other quarters, my brain would’ve
exploded. The first quarter was so beastly and perfect,
we were able to spend the following quarters on cruise control and allowed us
to bask in the majesty of the moment.

As you read this, Brodie Croyle is picking pieces of Pat Dye Field out of his teeth.
He should feel honored to have been flattened on a field named after such a
great guy..
Being a guy who thinks sacks are more fun to see than
touchdowns, and who ranks ‘The Waterboy’ as the best
sports movie of all time, I think I’m going to rank this game ‘better than
Georgia’.
Don’t blame Brodie Croyle for Alabama’s
poor performance; the guy’s a pretty good quarterback, but our defense has been
watching the guy all season. Stanley McClover had
been hurt much of the season and apparently he was out to meet a quota and
NOBODY was going to stop that guy.
One of the unfortunate souls who tried to block Auburn’s beastly defensive front was Alabama offensive lineman Taylor Britt.
Here’s a quote from AFTER the game:
“You can’t say Auburn
is a better program. They played a hell of a game. But you’re going to put Auburn on a pedestal ahead of Alabama? That will never happen in this
state.”
Hey Britt, first of all, thanks for the ignorant comment. It
allows me to spew off an equally ignorant rant on Auburn’s superiority. Isn’t college football
grand?
Auburn will never be ahead of
Alabama in
this state? You’re a senior, and you’ve never seen Alabama
beat Auburn.
You’ve seen Auburn
go to four quality bowls, go undefeated one year, and win an SEC Championship. Auburn is the best
football program in the state and probably the universe. Your football program
and university is an embarrassment to the state. You claim to me the flagship
university of the state; but please understand, the unspoken deal is
that you’re supposed to have a good liberal arts school; give out quality law
degrees, teaching degrees, business degrees and have a good premed program…. Auburn, as the land grant
university, is supposed to rule in the areas of technology and agriculture.
Britt, why is it that the state of Alabama is close to last place in every
socioeconomic statistic possible? Why does the state dominate in technology and
agriculture? The University
of Alabama isn’t pulling
their weight. Auburn
has been doing a good job at building up their business programs and education
programs to a world class level, but we can’t carry the future of the state on
our own. We need to focus on our awesome engineering schools! Look Britt, you
need to quit educating future crooked governors, it’s time to throw away those
retarded confederate flags and Bear Bryant hats, we
need to focus on the future Britt! Not the past! It’s time to forget about
beating Auburn
anytime soon, it’s pointless, you need to focus on an
achievable task! It’s time to start trying to fix some of those socioeconomic
issues! We can do it! Are you with me Britt?

Taylor Britt is probably a good guy, but look at him. He’s
basically the same offensive line guy from; Varsity Blues,
Remember the Titans, The Longest Yard, and every other football movie you’ve
ever seen. He’s the fat and stupid sidekick to the pretty-boy quarterback.
Take a look at Auburn’s
offensive linemen. Soon-to-be-millionaire-NFL-superstar Marcus McNeill has been
studying mechanical engineering, while other offensive lineman Jonathan Palmer
is in electrical engineering… smart guys. Way to break the stereotypes guys!
Many Alabama
fans have been calling the actions of Coach Tuberville
after the Iron Bowl as ‘classless’. If seeing a guy hold up four fingers after
his fourth Iron Bowl victory in a row offends you, you’re a wimp.
However, I’ll agree with you, Tommy Tuberville
is incredibly classless, but not for the reasons you’re claiming.
A quote for Tuberville after the
game about Auburn’s
student section:
"If
they stay that long for a game that's over with in the first quarter, they
deserve somebody to go over there and cheer for them a little bit," Tuberville said. "I was proud of them. They all
stayed."
Holy cow. He let up after the first
quarter to make a show out of it for the Auburn
fans! Similarly, there were instances were he gave Alabama fans the slightest glimmer of hope…just
to make them stay the whole game and suffer! What a jerk! I love him! It’s just
like when my cat breaks a mouse’s legs, only to play with it an hour before
killing it!
Bear Bryant called Auburn
a cow college. Franchonie didn’t even have enough
respect for Auburn
to mention us by name. If I were Tommy Tuberville
after the game, I would’ve run up to Shula, pimp
slapped the guy and make him call me his father... It's a good thing I'm not Auburn's football coach. We'd be 0-11 right now. If you want to call out Tuberville for being classless, cite the way he coaches,
not his postgame antics.
Governor Bob Riley, I know you read this website regularly,
so I know you’re going to read this. Stop freakin’
campaigning at Auburn football games. We all
know that you’re a huge Alabama
fan and you’re not fooling anybody. When I was a senior in high school, my dad
and I traveled to Auburn
for my first Iron Bowl. I remember during the drive down 280 thinking “All this
road construction is horrible! I shouldn’t worry though, because they’ll soon
be finished with the construction and when I’m at Auburn I’ll be able to travel home on a very
nice four lane road”. I’m now a senior at Auburn
and they’re nowhere near finished. Alabama
actually won that Iron Bowl I was talking about which shows how long ago it’s
taken to add those lanes.
While walking to Toomer’s corner
after the game, I witnessed some drunk Auburn guy,
probably around 45 or 50 years old, yelling at random Alabama fans telling them “YOU SUCK”. I
think Auburn’s alumni association needs to take
some action and hire people to break the legs of old guys who embarrass Auburn like this.
What a great season! Auburn fans should be very proud of all
of the coaches and players, they’ve all done a great
job. The question of the season was whether Auburn
would reload or rebuild this season and it’s clear that Auburn reloaded, or possibly rebuilt for
something even bigger. Even so, nine wins might not be good enough for some
players or coaches, but it’s good enough and plus some for the fans. Thanks
guys!
